Hush: Shedding Light on Dark Topics.

With a penchant for shedding light on dark objects, Bridled Women, Elsie’s Arsenal, Ghost Ships & Stargazers, Chapmbers and "A" is for Active, "S" is for Shooter are five bodies of work that examine catastrophic episodes that happen to women. The sculptures speak to the artist's interest in exploring the lurid side of human nature and what’s left behind after bad things happen. How did medieval women survive being bridled like wild animals? How do female refugees survive after being raped or forced into sexual slavery? How do mothers and children endure years of domestic violence?
